Police Academies
Once hired, Deputy Sheriff Trainees with the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office attend a California POST-Certified Law Enforcement Academy.
The Sheriff's Office sponsors Trainees through the academy, covering the cost of tuition. Deputy Sheriff Trainees are full-time employees who receive salary and benefits while attending the academy.

CORRECTIONAL CORE ACADEMY
Correctional CORE Academy
Once hired, Correctional Officers with the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office attend an STC-Certified Adult Correctional Officer Academy.
The Sheriff's Office sponsors Correctional Officers through the academy, covering the cost of tuition. Correctional Officers are full-time employees who receive salary and benefits while attending the academy.
